Thank you for your insight! Can you provide me your opinion on a rough estimate of this G43’s market value with a repro stock? I appreciate your time.

I'm only really familiar with AC and bcd G43s. Did duv number the carriers on the top like that? I'm used to seeing it on the side.

I believe early on in production they did. It was moved to the side later on. This one is an early rifle as shown by the threaded muzzle.

It’s worth is a really tough question. It’s surely a detractor from value from the standpoint of a collector that only wants the very best, but that doesn’t represent the average buyer. The market is funny and at auction I’d take a wild guess and say maybe $500 less. Yea, but $500 less than what (?) as prices can vary quite a bit on any given day. Of course at auction it “might” bring the same money as one with an original stock. Still, I think being an earlier production rifle is a big plus and yes those serial stampings on the top of the bolt carrier (G41 style) are correct. I’m not going to put a dollar value on your rifle but I’ll let you compare your less common rifle with one I picked up recently. A couple of months ago I picked up a really nice, less the stock, matching ac44 (n block IIRC) for $1500. The mechanics are excellent as is the overall cosmetic condition BUT although it’s in it’s original stock that stock has been sporterized. So, my plan is to order a Fox stock ($500) in the future so that puts me at roughly 2k for a nice rifle in a repro stock. I’m not saying that’s what yours is worth at all but rather what I’ll have in mine in a repro stock and I’m quite happy with that investment. Here’s a $1500 K43:

Thank you... Leszek from Fox Military says it’s probably one of his repros. I appreciate your input... I suppose it’s worth what I paid at least.

Kind of an educational thing here. BLM rifles are hard to read in regards to their serial numbers. Their 7’s and 1’s are really difficult. This is a great example that shows the two numbers together and how it is super easy to mix them up. If you have seen these two numbers a lot, then you will recognize their 7’s have a little more pronounced serif, or front bent line that distinguishes the 7 from their 1. I have to almost always do double looks to make sure which is which.

Absolutely. I have a late QVE45 that I had thought for a while the bolt was mismatched (only the first digit which happens to be a 7–the following three numbers are correct/match the rest of the rifle) but under very close examination the first digit which is supposed to be a 7 is just that and being it’s electro penciled and shows some rub wear it was all the more difficult to determine and equally difficult to photograph. I can only wish that the serial on the bolt on my BLM K43 was as crisp as the OP’s example, but it is far far from it.
