Slash motivated me to get out some kits and play with my camera over the last couple of days so here are 3 of my Braunschweigische Blechwarenfabrik kits. Starting off with an arr4 with sheet metal oiler

With the number of minor variants and markings, the Braunschweigische Blechwarenfabrik Rg34s could form a substantial sub-collection unto their own. It can be hard to tell from the photos, but what are the associated WaAs and where are they marked (if at all) on your three kits?

pwcosol yes it looks like the collection could fill up with only kits from Braunschweigische Blechwarenfabrik, with all of the variations. I seem to have more kits from this manufacturer than the others in my collection. to answer your question besides the maker mark and date I see no WaAs on the 3 kits here. if there are the paint covers them and no signs of a stamp on the inside of the lids.

This would be correct. There are no arr4 in tan paint with a WaA stamp. Same to be said for rco4, rco44, and rco45. These cans will not have a WaA. And many of the green/gray or blue/gray arr4 (the last ones) are sans WaA as well. Nice kits stewartb, thanks for posting .....

Part I

Stewartb said "Slash motivated me to get out some kits..."

He did as well with me, so here are the kits I had, have, or are in inventory. Think I will proceed in reverse order and start with the latest kit I had. This one went to a very good friend whom was looking for a tan kit...a rco45 I got back in 2017:

http://www.k98kforum.com/showthread.php?27791-A-Good-Day-at-the-Swap-Meet

Next is a rco45 I got sans HKW, which was added later. All components unattributed.

Third is a rco44 with arr 4 HKW and hly44 RGK.

Last is 1. arr 4 WaA392 blue-gray gloss paint tin. Oiler is blued extruded sheet steel. HKW is arr4. RGK is clip/ stb.

Part IV

Final two kits:

5. arr 42 WaA57 Dark Green paint. Oiler: dk bwn phenolic. HKW: absent. RGK:clip/zinc beads

6. arr 41 WaA750 Dark Green paint. Oiler:steel/ayw41. HKW: ayw41. RGK: svlk/zinc beads/kcy.

Have had a number of these kit for many years. Several are as I found them. Others were either missing components or had incorrect ones for the maker and date of the Rg34 tin. Over time I was able to rectify most of those issues. A couple other, incomplete kits are redundant. I say this because only in some cases did I find kits in which all components were intact and had the appearance of being that way from the start.

Very nice kits! Thanks for showing them here stewartb and pwcosol !

These images are a clear example of the great diversity in the kits marked with the arr/rco code and also in the pieces that found inside.
I agree with pwcosol as the kits from this manufacturer are collectibles per se.

In my opinion Braunsweigische Blechwarenfabrik manufactured fundamentally Rg34 metal cases from 1941, suppling them also to other firms, and assembled complete kits also in their facilities with some parts made by they and other suplied by subcontractors.
