Find Mauser bcd 41 Need Advice

Hello, all.
I found possibly my first Mauser to buy, well, a trade actually, The rifle is marked bcd 41 and looks like something I want to have in the vault with my USGI rifles.
It looks to be refinished, but not a deal killer for me due to the fact it looks great overall. No cleaning rod or front hood, from what I've seen in Mauser pictures.

I am asking for your opinions and thoughts. I will be meeting the seller later this week to go through it in better detail for matching numbers, Import markings.
So, for pricing concerns, so, does the forum believe this is a $400 or 700 rifle, as seen with these limited pictures? Assuming it has been re-blued and non-matching.

Thank you, in advance, Mark

so, sounds like a deal killer, even at $400.
He has two others, one has a longer barrel, but this one stood out to me.

If it has a great bore you could buy it as a shooter for that price, that's if you're looking for a shooter. It looks like it might have an undorked with stock and if so that's pretty valuable all by itself. Although that piece of blue tape might be trickily hiding a post war stamped number.

OK, So here are additional pics of the bcd 41. He is firm at $500. It looks nice, but to me, looks re-buled.

The blue tape on the stock is just a inventory number. I pealed it up to look for a stamping.

This will be my first Mauser. For a shooter and just to add to my small collection, is this a good starter that I could easly sell for $ 500 or trade later?

bolt root should have sn, pics not very clear, but looks not right, so bolt mismatch, but “concealed” by removal of original number

For a representative example /shooter thats about what its worth. How is the bore? One pic of muzzle crown looks like its wallowed out, If that's the case it will never be a great shooter. did you try bullet test?
