CE 42 at local gun show. How’d I do?

Picked up this ce42 today, holt seems to match and it matches the receiver, haven’t broken it down but the front bands don’t match. Has definitely seen better days but I hate to pass them up, bore looks good in it. Doesn’t seem to be a Russian capture, just wanting to see how I did on it

Sorry to say this, but that entire bolt is humped beyond a shadow of a doubt. Very poorly too. I hope you didn’t pay too terribly much for that friend.

Yes the bolt is bad along with the floorplate looks like somewhat took a parts lot for the K98k and put this rifle together. Hate to tell you this but that is the nature of this rifle.

I would add that the H front band could be realistic for a "g" block, but the stock seems to have a large bolt disassembly disc, which is unlikely for a Sauer & Sohn.

I don’t think the stock matches. I traded a rearsenal p38 and 400 for it. I really got it as a shooter as I got rid of my Russian capture on a trade and sort of regretted it.

I plan on either keeping it to shoot, or trading/ selling it off, just depends on how it cleans up. Just don’t know a fair value.

Yeah sorry the bolt is bad, I think the floorplate and trigger guard are too. It’s a Frankenstein that someone tried to enhance.
