A buddy of mine (member here) and I were discussing the 1944 Berg & Companie S84/98 bayonets earlier today and how difficult it is to find either the agv or pyy in collectable condition. Mentioned this example that I picked up three or four years ago on an ebay Buy-It-Now. It wasn't cheap by any means, but no regrets. 7837f serial number within the last 200 to 300 pieces made before production ended. Another member here owns 7822f in similar condition. Note the unusual inverted stickwing eagle WaA519 to the reverse pommel.

That is an amazing example!
My 44 pyy is nowhere near as nice as the one you have pictured here!

That is beautiful. Glad it is in a good place. You have an amazing collection. Thank you for sharing.

Excellent piece, i have highest reported 7923f, anyway there could be samples in 8xxx range. The inverted proof occured by other manufacturers too, i assume after sending 25000 personell of WaA in july 1944 to front, is real that many simplification were done.

...It wasn't cheap by any means, but no regrets.

A superior example to say the least. You got what you paid for on this one and I would say it was money well spent! As for the general scarcity of both Berg "agv" & "pyy" codes for 1944, IMHO they are equally tough to find...particularly matching examples in collector-grade condition. My personal experience was having a much more difficult time securing the "agv" code than the "pyy" for 1944. In fact, for 25 years the closest I could get was a nice "agv 43". Eventually I got a nice '44, but had several decent "pyy"s pass thru my hands in the interim...

Beautiful piece my friend!! Super late and not upgradeable. I’m with you, I love the end of the war pieces. Thank you for sharing! (I don’t have one at all ... yet!!)

Stunning bayo, I don't think you can find another 44 pyy to upgrade that one. It literally looks like it just came out of the factory.
