I just picked this up. Not in the greatest condition. Liner is shot but chin strap is pretty good. Should I put a little oil on it or leave it be? In general what do you think about it? I paid $200 shipped. Thanks for looking, John

Looks like a nice helmet. What do you want to apply the oil to? If it’s the leather, I would leave it. I would lightly dust off the helmet with a soft painters brush, and $200 is not bad.

There is nothing to be gained from oiling through leather. It looks stable and clean. Let it ride.
