A very nice example, and all matching except the unnumbered front sight blade. As always, comments welcome.

Thanks

I really like this rifle. Also got that 'P' mark like the WaA135 marked stock on my depot reworked S/42 G.

Very nice rifle but I would hold off on the "minty" classification.
Basically minty would mean in high 90s condition, bordering on factory new.

Thank you.

Good that this worked out.
The term "mint" and "minty" is way overused and also abused.
These monikers are especially abused by dealers.

Thats the reason I posted my response.

In my large group of the Mauser company rifles, I could count on one hand the number of "mint" rifles I have.
Bounce that down to excellent and you need a bunch of hands to count them.

I will endeavor to establish a grading system pertinent to this forum.
Input from our membership is recommended and encouraged.
I am not sure if this was brought up previously, but if so please post a link.

The difference between "mint" and "factory new" is negligible but should be considered.
I have 4 rifles that I consider factory new - Portuguese 1941, byf43, byf44 'l' block, and late svwMB.
I have several others that would fall into the mint category - two 39 dated 42 codes and
my recently acquired S/243G.

So there you have it - 7 rifles out of very large grouping.
