    I do believe it is a correct and original scope and mount.

    I think like the others here it’s likely good axel.

    *Matt, one of the moderators here is really up on these so maybe he will respond as well,

    It’s a walther proof mount, although on the very few early dual stamp mounts I have seen
    Usually the 359 is on the right under the scope number but can’t for sure say it was always the case
    Examining so few. I know at some point it was moved more to the center by the locking lever.
    Rifle number stamped left and scope number stamped on the right and not engraved shows what I have always thought to be the pattern for the early square end mount. Number fonts look the same heights and engraved was later, applied after the finish so engravings are in the white.
    Bands look good and so does the ocular cover.
    And it’s a ddx optic and it might just be a coincidence, but from early and late rifles-scopes and mounts that I thought were originals, it appears to me like walther used ddx contracted optics a lot.
    So from my .02 it’s got lots goin for it.
    I think ya got a nice one, hope I’m right.
