Question- how do you have an original ZF41 rifle that is dated 1939? You can't, the ZF system came out in 1940, and JPS never built them.

this statement is one to live by. knowing what is correct and what isnt something you must try learn very fast when laying down big bucks for a sniper rifle.. Not sure I got Your meaning , Maybe it`s that I come from NH and have HURD a Rumor some of us are not the Brightest not me thought . LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes Mauser byf made SSR`s Silly Rabbit Tricks are for Kids Best Regards.

I was refering to the byf42 0r 43 ssr you gave you're opinion on that got us all a cold drink at the show.. Knowing first hand mauser never made a short side rail.. I think there were two at the sos. The other Ron Wolin has been toting around for a few years for 8K..

This is descricption from seller
Scharfschützenkarabiner K98k mit ZF41. Hersteller 147 = Sauer&Sohn in Suhl 1937. Die Montage ist mit DUV gestempelt = Berlin-Lübecker Maschinenfabrik, das ZF mit FZG = Feinmechanik GmbH Kassel. ZF und Montage sind Original, keine neuen Nachbauten. Der Karabiner ist Nummerngleich ( bis auf den Partonenzubringer ) und in einem sehr guten Zustand, alle Stempel vorhanden, meiner Meinung nach auch nicht neu brüniert oder überarbeitet. (siehe Bilder) Leider hat jemand im Hinterschaft 3 Münzen aus dem 3. Reich ins holz eingelassen.
