    Hello,

    Please post here the data you have about the long side rail rifles and their mounts.
    Just first hand reports.

    Default Rifles and bases.

    There seemed to be some serious intrest in this so I figured I'd go about having this started. Maybe broken down into JPS and gustloff serial ranges. Who knows we might find a few matches. Report any you see or have seen. Please no pressure to contribute. If you find the item on line or on an auction please post next to it where you found it..Its pretty standard kinda like all the stickeys on the k98 section. the list can be condenced as needed.

    Also I added a guide to Sauer script fonts to help aid the u v w Issue on late sauer LSR's as it was clear me and a few others didnt have this nailed down yet.

    mount serial # 86578 w/bek scope #78370
    this was a recent g.b.auction.

    saw a mount w/can posted 2472x gunboards..

    very interesting topic indeed.
    Can I suggest to be more precise in the that study regarding the kind of scope fixation found on the mount, I mean Steel rings, narrow or large bands ?

    My k98 is a Bcd4 long side rail serial 48748 ,
    the mount has the serial 3934W , large bands.
    A friend of mine has a mount with serial 5211x , large bands

    I have bcd4 LSR 2189 no mount (had unnumbered but sold it).
