I am always looking for 7.92x33 ammo and information for my book about the development and production of the Pistolenpatrone 43 m.E.

Very nice, thank you for showing

Your rarest box is the “W.C.” from Hugo Schneider A.G., plant Meuselwitch.
From the 7,9 view, they only recycled fired cases to blanks.

Here is a full sleeve of S.m.K. L'Spur 100/600 White I picked up....I was very happy to get it!

Also, a really crappy pic of a couple of pistol ammo boxes...

The 100/600 Weiss is a rare bird, I have only one in a 15 rd box, so the Sleeve is a rarity....of course Dutch probably uses them to start his bbqs!

The heavy ball “S” cartridge was developed at the same time as the normal “S” cartridge but was not adopted.
It changed in 1914 with the introduction of the Zeppelin. Because of the heavier bullet they could fire earlier on the attacking airplanes.
The first known are from September 1914. We can recognise them on the box label in the clamps; “ L Mun. schweres Geschoß” (air ammunition heavy ball).
They were made by the GPK (Gewehr Prüfungs Kommission)
(Picture of the box courtesy; Woodin Lab, Tucson AZ).

Later that year the SmK cartridge was introduced. In 1915 they did not need the sS round anymore.

A couple of years later the Germans found out that the French machine guns who fired the 8mm Lebel, could reached a couple of hundred meter more than the German “S” ammunition.
The sS round was introduced again as a MG round.
The first are known with a head stamp from Cassel, “C” from October 1917 still with a black annulus color.
In January 1918 it changed to green.
