Picked this up a while ago. I hope it's a legit depot rifle. Everything looks to match (except handguard). Stock # matches inside channel. If it's not legit, I still love it!

What I see looks okay to me though the stock is a little curious. Any external markings at all? I haven't seen a WaA280 in the triggerguard cutout before, but it may indicate the stock had an issue corrected. Perhaps this is a left over stock from Erma?

I have XX 7907. Only exterior stock markings are a letter C with a WaA proof directly underneath on the keel. TG is a recycled Imperial, fp is milled with a small stick eagle 1. Receiver is S/147 1938 dated,original serial # 191 being X'd out. Both barrel bands machined and matching, upper band also has stick eagle 1.

Didn't see any other external markings. I'll scan it again and see.

My pictures aren't that good.... doesn't do the rifle justice. I need to learn how to take decent pics. Proper lighting, background, etc.

Thanks for everyone's input. I'm pretty excited about this find!
