Vg-1 upclose

posting this for Radomman as he was nice enough to let me photo it for the forum here.. This one's basicly flat new as you can see. The stock is something else. Raw,raw laminate. Made by berlin lubecker I would assume by the qve code on the receiver along with their typical small test proof. The bolt operates very stiff and is not very user freindly. I guess at this stage of the game they really didnt care.. I think they would have been better off putting a trench mag on the VK98 as its a much better weapon. All these different late war weapons were a result of the political mess that was the 3R. Even at the late stages of the war there was still a money and power grab going on.. They were to blind to see that in a short time they would have neither money or power..

That is an amazing piece. Thank to both of you for getting those pictures posted and to Hambone for putting them in a sticky. Beautiful piece of history, yet pretty ugly from the change in quality from the late 1930s.

Vg-1

Outstanding collection of very late war German weapons. Thanks for posting and the
excellent pictures.

waou!
considering the manufacturing conditions and the emergency of production, this Vg-1 seems well made with an interesting design!
nice!

Very nice collection.....
I have a Vg-1, not in the best conditions but good enough to keep that has a new made stock. Any news about spare stocks around? Thank you in advance for any help
