Erfurt 1915 Kar 98

Since we seem to be doing Kar's, here is mine. I had posted it over at GB, but I will post it here too...

It is 100% matching, and unmessed with EXCEPT some moron for some reason ground like 1/4" off the locking lugs, making it a wallhanger (although I am sure it would be shootable with a proper bolt temporarily swapped)...still I got it because several guys passed it up because of the locking lugs so I took a shot and offered the guy $200...which he accepted. I figure I don't shjoot many of my guns anyway, and how often have I come across an original, matching Kar 98? I was happy to get it...Plus it is unit marked...The guys on the WWI Board figured it was the 18th Dragoner Regiment, 18th Dragoons....

A few more...I should get a better pic of the RR for you Paul, it does have a fourth stamp...I believe its a stamp for a gun or receiver not passed, then later accepted...
