Out the woodwork. Had the orginal front half of the sling hanging from the lower band when I got it. Left the dried grease and grime you see on it. Bore is mirror new. Exterior is, well, used ;)

Tks guys. Blade, AG, I've gotten the same way in my age. Way back when I shuffled my collection around to have "mint" examples, and would have worked to "upgrade" this one. Then I looked at my collection and realized how boring it looked....none of the rifles "talked". This one fought, was carried, it's German owner's method of carrying and using it worn onto it. A "stone mint" rifle like this tells the story of being in a crate or rack. Now, don't get me wrong, I still like condition, but appreciate honest wear too, particularly as I get wear on me.

Virgins are boring - no character, shy, and inexperienced.

Now, give me a girl who knows what she's done... and how to do it with style.

ALL my rifles look similar, and that is how I will always collect them. ONE or two mint rifles is fine in a collection, but I need something with tangible history.
