Thanks. Auction. New rig with minor handling and a crisp mirror bore, un-oiled grips. The auction pics don't do it justice. Handled and stored right. Different pics......

top notch rig.. I had one very similar years ago... Im sure the date of the holster is correct with the build of the pistol..

Thanks guys. Been looking for the right one for awhile. Yes, it is 1941 production. P.35(b) dates of production:

1944 Total 64,200

Grand Total 330,000 + 3,433 Belgian

Tks Denny. The GP.35 is my favorite pistol. If I was going to collect and shoot one pistol only, that would be it ;)

Nicest looking one I think I have ever seen on the internets. I'd chrome or nickel it to keep it nice. There are sellers on ebay that have some attractive grips for sale as well.

It's nicer now since I got some cold blue, a lighter, and a q-tip and touched up all the little wear marks. I'll probably strip the grips an sand them next. I want it to be 99.9% MINT!

Great rig

Nice deep bluing...These early guns were really finished with a deep blue. You see them and they are 98 percenters but the blue is faded. This one is not. I collect these from early to late with plastic grips. One of my favorites also.

Hambone,
Super rig. A 41 dated PB. 35 with the stiching still white is not a common thing with the use they typically saw. The grips are the best I have ever seen. A pair of waffenampt mags are uncommon too. I don't think I have seen one anywhere with two in quite some time. Most additional mags are added after acquisition. Thanks for posting the dates. One of my favorites pistols too. Great find.
Mike

Thank you MJ. Uploaded more pics. The pistol came from the grandson of an officer/vet who was a surgeon in the PTO. However, his two brothers were ETO vets, one who was an infantryman in the 8th Inf. Div. serving in the Ardennes and all through Europe and the other in the Air Corps serving in the ETO. The whole rig came back this way. The spare mag is very lightly inspected with the WaA103 and looks like an early Belgian mag body which was completed under German occupation. It has no marks other than the WaA103. The one in the pistol is also WaA103.

Thanks guys. The seller told me his grandfather (the officer/surgeon) kept it stored in the holster, with the mag, but would periodically check it and wipe it down with light oil. I've never seen a nicer one either and combined with the high polish finish it is striking, like early K98ks. Better is that it wasn't shot and neglected or "cleaned" by bubba. It's been a long quest to find the right one!

Here's another nice one Craig. This one came from the estate of a veteran of Co. K, 22nd Infantry, 4th Infantry Division.
#186644, WaA140, made in '42. Holster is epf42.
This one is close, but not quite as nice as yours. Also, don't pay any attention to the rear sight.
Pretty sure I posted this earlier...
