    Hi Hambone,
Nice site, it has a cool look to it. I have a question about your byf 45. Has the bolt been re numbered? I ask because the metal under the numbers has two different grain directions and looks two different colours. If its not renumbered please dont take offence, as I am still learning and the bolt just looks odd to me.
    Thanks
    Maus

    Hello Mauser,
Thanks and welcome. Legitimate question. Answer is no, that's typical of late byf milling marks on bolt flats like that. A good thing to do is not only look at the numbering on the bolt flat, but on the other parts as well. It's very tough to fake all of those properly.
    Regards,
    HB
