nice crisp byf44 g block.. A common year and code but getting harder to find in that condition as time goes on.. I really like that one !!! :thumbsup:
 
nice rifle :thumbsup: IIRC the g block was where they eliminated receiver polishing, you can see this on the milled lines on the receiver of yours.
 
I used to turn my nose up at byf 44's because they were so common. Now that all 98's are not easy to find I like any nice 98 for a decent price
