Bidding War?

One thing that set it apart from the others were the detailed pics. Still went for way more than it should have IMO.

John.

That is a stiff price for that rifle, but looks authentic. It is odd in one way though, it has a Walther receiver, but has the script siderail, which is unusual in that so far as my trends work tells that Walther=bold-normal siderail and ERMA=script siderail.

My trends work is not 100% complete for ERMA production, but probably 3/4 done and so far this is the only rifle with this pattern. Of course this is not a significant problem, it is just unusual, - at least so far as the limited research has taken me.

Not it wasn't me KJ was watching this one though didn't think it would get up too that high in price. And always looking for AX-41 codes I have two right now might make it three one day. But would rather add an AX 1940 code too my collection first before another AX-41 code though. Also what I paid for my two AX-41 rifles and seeing this one go for what it did really surprised me.

It looks like a test of will between two buyers in the end. There was a total of 16 bids so there was a lot of back and forth.
