Late Heer no decal M.42 wire wrap camo helmet, large NS 66 58 liner. It was brought back by S.Sgt. Loren C. Harrison, Easy Company, 397th Inf. Regt., 100th Inf. Div. They saw heavy combat toward the end of the war, which is consistent with the helmet date. The wire is wrapped tightly around the helmet liner rivets and probably could not be removed without cutting it off.

No name of the original owner of this helmet, before it went to the USA?
:biggrin1:

Very nice helmet with an interesting history as well.

Nope BSW, not on this one. No war grave  It was probably worn by some poor Volksgrenadier Div. conscript and wasn't issued very long before his war was over.
