I know this is not a Mauser but I didn't know where to post it. This is a srg coded VG-1. There were estimated to be less than 500 of this maker made. Research has not determined who srg is. This one is interesting because it was assigned to Gau 3 (Berlin) and probably witnessed the final days of the Reich. See the 3/1 marking on the stock. Bolt is matching and numbered on the end. Muzzle is counter-bored

Yeah I think those were her curtains...I took pics quick to check out the sizing issue...... did not get out the official picture blanket....

Since I am being honored with the sticky I will retake some of the shots and try get them a little bigger. My software sets pic size as" best for Net" and I think I can go bigger.

I am not familiar with these rifles. I would assume that VG1 stands for volks gewehr 1? Please elaborate?
