Femaru JHV 43 rig and CZ Duo 1945 rig new to me

I picked up these two rigs last weekend.

The CZ Duo 45 is pretty mint with some late war era rough machining around the frame near the grips. Holster appears to be original.

The Femaru has one matching number magazine and came in this JSD 1942 Luftwaffe holster. Although it appears to have been in this holster for a long period of time by the forming around the second magazine bottom extension, I don't think it was really designed for the Femaru as the magazine pouch is too wide.

Very nice! The ‘45 DUO is really late. Love the little holster for it. Mine is a 118XXX serial number. Glad to see your slide lock/safety switch is positioned slightly down as well. Just for comparison:

Maybe I’ll find a another little ‘45 DUO with a higher serial number like that. The ‘45 dated ones seem to not be as easy to locate.

I see your holster is very similar to mine. I have a 1941 in the exact holster as yours.
I wonder who was the holster manufacturer at the time.

Really like that DUO rig !
I think your '43 holster looks correct, but I can understand why you're asking about the mag pouch.

Maybe the picture angle didn't show it. but the mag pouch should be as wide as the magazine body, not wider. The magazine should fit tight in the pouch not sloppy.
Here's a typical Femaru WWII holster with mag on the right and the one I just got on the left.

Hmm, interesting. I've speculated for quite some time that JHV41s were issued with the '42 marked holsters and not all JHV41s came with the canvas holster. It's been rather difficult to determine the cut off. (I think it was in the upper 20K to lower 30K.) However, given the serial number of the pistol, it doesn't seem as though that holster would have been one of the first ones made. You would have thought they would have had the measurements down by the time they got to this holster. I believe jsd, cdc, and hsy made canvas holsters as well. I do not have a JSD42 to compare (I do have a cdc42 and 2x cdc43 though).

One day when I get some time I will try and do more research and collect data if no one else gets to it before me. I already have 7 or 8 studies going on right now and just not enough time.
