Before hallucinogens I guess. Normal font and numbering. I had no concept they started 1941 with normal serials.

Great piece and the pics are fine. First report that I have is sold on ebay in March of 2021. FWIW ...... The early production in 1941 are crs only on the ricasso with 41 on the spine. The scabbards are crs > 41. Serial numbering is standard. Late in the "no letter block" the marking format changed to 41crs on both; like this example. This "normal" type of marking format continued into the late e block when inexplicably the serial numbering exceeded 10.000 still with an e suffix. After the e block things really went crazy! Love the anomalies in Weyersberg's 1940 and '41 production .....
