Hi everyone, I wanted to ask for an opinion on this German Puma boot knife.
It needs a clean, if you need more photos don't hesitate to ask.
I searched the web for information on the fact that it has no brands but I didn't find much, probably a post-war production.
thank you all

The blade should be cleaned/removed by spirit or alcohol from a old vaseline remains, then it should be made details from ricasso. This piece looks like unused. here are Experts about similar knives.

I already told you my thoughts on this knife in "Forum Help" section a couple of days ago. Puma used several makers marks on these knifes and a couple of different blade styles. Those styles being a "clip point and a "dagger". Yours is the "dagger" style.
I have since researched several more examples online, looking at all of the fine details of construction and the riccasso area, where the makers mark is stamped. Although I have yet to find one without any marking, there were a few with the marks so light they appeared unmarked. It would not be unheard of for a Puma to be unmarked, although uncommon.
I also looked at several reproduction Pumas. They lacked certain little fine details of construction that an original Puma has. Yours has those details as exhibited on an original Puma. If it is a reproduction, it is a good one and collectors beware.
I could go on with this response, talking about the scabbard or the grips and the correct construction they exhibit but, this would be a longer response than needed. It`s your knife, best to educate yourself about it. Spend a few hours researching as I did.
Now as Andy said, here are experts, and I think Andy is one of those experts. He did not give your knife a negative response, that means something to me.
It`s always good to get a second opinion and hopefully more experts will respond.
Now if you decide this knife is a reproduction, I would be happy to buy it from you, at a reproduction price. ;)

Thank you Gremlin
I also think it's original, in the research I've done I've read that they also have non-branded products but I'm a novice so I'm asking you experts, I hope others will respond.
Thank you
Paul

Some have leather washers, some don't and are usually made of Kunst Leder / Preßtoff. Not all of them are marked on the ricasso, although they're highly uncommon, I know of a black phenolic grip / Bowie blade one that does not have markings on the ricasso. But this knife as all the other details you'd look for in a Puma IF42.

Also, might I add, the blade is the late type found on some Infanteriemesser 42s. It has a triangle shape profile and is flat. I own a late war IF42 with that type of blade. Here's an example:

Hallo Scharf
It was precisely the shape of the blade of exactly the same shape as the Infanterimesser 42 as well as the lack of the mark that made me think of an end to the war... thank you very much for your analysis
