CE 44, 8586 T Block with C Stock Conservation

Correct me if I’m wrong, but after reading a little about these 1944 Sauer stocks, this appears to be a “C” stock and few are know. If true, it maybe due to the fact that the glue, like this example, may have cause others to deteriorate and fall apart. This example was said to have been in an attic for a number of years.

They are rare but show mostly p-v blocks of 1944.

Nice save too!

Nice job with the preservation. From what I recall reading, the white glue stocks seemed to have more issues with delamination than the red glue stocks. Storage conditions are probably a key factor in most cases. I'm sure they never even thought of durability for 70-80 years into the future at the time!
