Is it possible that checkered buttplate was introduced on high turret of the f block instead of the g block as described by Bruce in his book ?

I'd say that is certainly possible. I don't think the G block is documented. More an observation of trends.

Sure its a possibility as was already pointed out . The G block was determined on observation/study rather than any documented proof to the best of my knowledge .
