Certainly looks like a Krieghoff 8mm designated for the Volksturm, there is a Forgotten Weapons Video that provides an overview for this rifle. Its definitely real, wouldn’t say it post war, but could of certainly been used post war. Photos of the receiver are the same to compare. It looks good to me IMHO. I also like the crude front sight, shows how desperate weapons manufacturing became in late 44-45. Only thing I don’t like is the stock, looks to be replaced possibly

Looks real, though its in poor shape. Stock is trashed and the bolt looks like it may be stripped (or possibly replaced).
