Got a really big boar [ 225 lbs + ] with my Gew-88/05 # 2 hunting rifle . This one is a sportered 1890 Danzig with a Turk .323 barrel I bought . It has a laser sight on it for night use . 225 grain Herters rn soft point at 130 yards at night . It does show why some German troops still liked the big heavy P-88 bullet , especially in Africa . Still need to get one with my stock Gew-88 at distance in daylight .

I like hunting with the old guns also. Got a buck a few years ago with my Win. 76 and one the next year with a High wall

Congratulations, it looks like it has some nice tusks. A big boy.

Good for you! I have taken deer with an 1895 Winchester in .30/40 from 1905, and a Winchester Lee straight pull sporter in .236.
