Excuse my stupidity but I see this abbreviation use alot does it mean " Mismatched?

It simply means the rifle is mismatched numbers. In other words all the components that would be stamped with a full or partial serial number do not all have the same numbers. It shows that the rifle has been altered from its original condition by the replacement of some parts.
