Came across a EF 66, m42 lot # 3314.
Is there anyway to know the branch of service that it may have been used in?

This is near the beginning of the EF M42 decal drop zone (roughly lot# 3237-3654) where no-decal (ND) helmets begin appearing in numbers with spotty factory decaled helmets still seen to lot# 3654. Lot# 3314 is seen in size 64cm in the no decal slate gray configuration, so I estimate your helmet was probably a factory no-decal helmet as well.
