No ammo section on this forum so I figured I’d drop this here. A couple buddies and I just did a group-buy of a bunch of the 1942/43 8mm German that's been out there the last year or so. Typically found at places like J&G and elsewhere for high 60s, 70+ cpr. We got it for .36 Cents around. I have a pretty good idea this stuff is coming for Portugal. Marked machine gun ammo but was wondering about any accuracy or performance results out there. Looks pretty clean.

I ran probably 8+ boxes through the Yugo M48 Sniper clone today.

Forgot to pull bullets to check inside the cases. Not a single hang fire, dud or problem other than occasional difficulty feeding and locking the bolt down and/or unlocking the bolt. I rather expected this. Not unlike but not nearly as bad as that commercial Rommy I’m trying not to shoot.

Accuracy was respectable considering. As I was realigning zero for it in the lead sled, I managed to pull off a single 3-shot 1” group plus a 5 shot group at just under 1.5” from a rest and squeeze bag. The 5th round (not shown was a flier I totally pulled) – on me. I wish I had more pics but it was busy at the range. After those I was feeling pretty optimistic but was never able to do better than 2-3+” groups the rest of the day (hot barrel?). Still, I’m good with that. Very pleased !
