I would assume the markings are Czech, but it is a little unusual having the dots ("S.P."). SP would be a Machines Battalion (Strojní Prapor) which is some sort of engineering unit. I would suspect there were more than one of the these battalions in the Czech Army, so no battalion number is also odd.

Could be some sort of German marking, but unit markings post-1937 are extremely uncommon.

The unit marking is czechoslovak offcoarse, Ryan is right about the Strojni Prapor, which was mashinery unit, that has not any serials. Probably never reached a strengh of normal infantry Batallion. The acceptance of scabbard was removed partly, the Vz24 was deringed by germans and reblued and used most real by second line units in France area and captured by US Gi which added there France 1944 to grip.
In reality this piece probably remained in Prague reserve area as the SP unit was under command of the 6.Genie Regiment which moved completely in 1934 to capitol city of Slovakia Bratislava and was stationed on river Danube, but this area was never occupied by germans so it could be not bringback from Gis.
