Well used ce 41n

Fairly new here, just thought I'd share the latest auction pickup. Only history I have is came from a collectors sale. Hasn't been shot since it came stateside. Bolt, magazine and barrel is fairly full of cosmoline. Barrel and receiver match. Bolt and gas shield match. Other than that nothing... Although most the bits seem "period" correct wrong stamping and markings though. Barrel is import marked. The usual C.A.I.
Overall I'm happy with it. Has a been there and done it look. Although who really knows.
Got it for 700 which was fair I thought.

If anyone has any info on where these were imported from or any info on how this got to this mix I would appreciate it. I'm fairly knowledgeable on the stamps and acceptance marks.

Seems to me that alot of these CE 41 rifles ended up in romainia and the balkans area of europe. Ive owned two ce 41s that clearly came out of that region. The fact that yours mostly retains the acceptances Id lean towards it being imported out of albania. Not sure if this was in the late 80s or 90s. These rifles are commonly referred to as "balkan capture". Heavily worn, handful of matching numbers, CAI import, with eagles/acceptances mostly intact.

Neat rifle.

Hey thanks for the info! Pretty much what I was looking for. Yea didn't have one of these so needed to fill that void in my soul.

Ahh yes I see what you mean. Definitely does not match those. Thanks for pointing that out.
Did clean the cosmoline out this afternoon. Bore is bright and shiny. Lands are def a bit dull though. Plus a broken extractor.

Check the barrel channel inside the stock to confirm if stock matches. Many of those old CAI imports had matching stocks and other bits, but some were total mismatched as well.
