A very rare frog made of rubberized web material and constructed with stitching only (no rivets). All of the marked examples recorded have been by Riese and dated 1941. Unmarked pieces which appear to have been made by the same manufacturer have also been observed. Although not actually made from rubber hose material these frogs have been dubbed "radiator hose frogs" by some collectors. The firm also used the same material to manufacture enlisted man combat belts and other items. Again, only for a short period in 1941 as the items did not prove to be adequately durable primarily due to weak stitching issues. Thanks for posting ......
