I think it was better than the Wacker mess on Sepp Allerberger. I knew I was in for a load of BS when I opened the Sepp Allerberger and even the rifles in the photos were mis-identified. As if no one would notice!
Half of the Bruno Sutkus book is mostly about is communist Russian capture, interrogations and internment post war but is worth the read. I sold both of these books on eBay awhile back as they were not all that memorable. The most detailed book about serving in the German army I have read to date is "Soldat: Reflections of a German Soldier, 1936-1949". Very thorough and detailed but not solely about snipers. Good read, highly recommended.
