With gun shows on hold I decided to go through my many bins of gun show stuff to see what I could move through a local auction house that has been doing well with gun and militaries auctions. At the bottom of one bin I found this reprint of the German manual for the FG 42 Type I. I vaguely remember someone tossing this on my table a few years ago and I must have just dropped it in a bin. The manual is in German, nicely done, many illustrations and focuses only on the Type I rifle. I have been giving some serious thought to buying one of the SMG FG 42’s and this shows up. A sign from above? 80 pages plus cover.
