This bayonet came with the rifle I posted in another thread...From what research I've done it is an EB 50 by Carter's designation...It is seems to be in very good condition with most of the greyish paint which makes me wonder if it is real and not a repo...No turkish markings or any other discernible ones for that matter...Here are some pics..Thanks for looking, Mike

Ersatz Bayonets

Yes I really like them too. I remember back in the 70s when they were imported in large numbers with the G88s that were imported from Turkey. I think most if not all were the unmodified G88/G98 models that would fit on the G88s that were imported at that time. Not the modified ones imported in the 90s. That would fit the later Turkish Rifles. I can't remember what company it was maybe Sarco. But someone sold them by there Carter models with photos and different prices. I bought two because that was all the rifles I had at the time they were for. Like always a "day late and a dollar short".

That is a beauty and scarce one at that. No way it is a reproduction and the feldgrau paint appears to be original. It certainly didn't come out of Turkey, probably brought home by a vet returning from WW1. Congratulations.

Like these? I think even with inflation they would be around $30 today! Add is from Guns&Ammo 1973.
