I was informed by some other far more knowledge members than I that in fact this sniper is indeed a turd, regardless of the piggy-back scam post someone is trying to pull. It appears to be an honest byf 44 e block that someone decided should become a higher turret. Here is a link to the actual auction:

Fun fact: His Gunporker pictures either still have the previous seller's name double stamped at the bottom or still have a GunsAmerica watermark embedded.
The guy is stupid AND lazy. What does this tell us about the bidders?
I'm amazed at least 4 get scammed usually one multiple times before gunbroker shuts them down. Scammer had Colt 1902 below market value. NR at the time. I asked for pics of pistol on piece of paper with my username and date, pistol disassembled, and sellers drivers license or FFL. Only thing I received was "I am FFL". Needless to say I didn't bid, but at least 2 others bought the same "Colt 1902" based on the negative feedback.

First that stock did not belong on the rifle. It was not an Oberndorf manufactured stock and even a collector
with limited experience should have seen that. Numbers were really bad in the barrel channel - another easy call.
Last, in that period and for most of MO production, the letter block was not stamped in the barrel channel.
How far to we have to go here - also forgot the overstamped serial in the barrel channel.
And the lack of a final WaA135 on the stock. Handguard was also 3rd grade attempt at re-numbering.
I guess the 2 bidders short of 17,000 were completely uninformed.
