What a tool... Rare 237 with Rampant Lion Proofs

interesting that he knew it was a “237” rifle, as the receiver has clearly been scrubbed, then hand stamped “237”. looks like he matched the rifle to the bolt? Nice pairing of a late war, round hole bolt (reblued at that) with an early code rifle. with the market like it is, might be worth the starting bid as a shooter,
maybe it’s a ‘test’?
 
I love how photo #25 is a crystal clear view of the e/214 on the front band while photo #6 (you know where the serial was scrubbed) looks like it was taken under water. :rolleyes:
 
Rifle is being talked about on Gunboards. Left a nice remark for a few members there that basically said we were being assholes for saying if you got burned by this rifle your a fool. Well duh a simple Google search can give you a basic idea what a rifle made by this maker should look like.
