Hello!

Here's the last thing I got in 2021, an Erzeugungsjahr 1944 rbnr marked pouch with my favorite kind of oddball pebble!

Sorry pictures are not so good.

Cool pouch! I wonder what the tab markings are for. Never seen a pouch marked on the belt loop either, very cool.

Yes, this is standard for rbnr 0/1250/0008, 0011 and RME marked pouch. These are so cool IMO! Scarce to encounter, I've only seen a few of the late type. There's also some marked EZGJ1943 that have stitches rather than rivets. I think there's a RME 45 on the forum somewhere, it also has those inventory numbers on the latches.

I’ve never seen that EZGJ explained as “Erzeugungsjahr”, that alone is awesome!

Yes, the Czech pebble leather is cool. I had an RME44 marked one I gave to D Weaver long ago. I do have one with this leather, guess I need to pull it out as I can’t remember the marking.

was just lucky enough to come across a late cz27 rig in this pebbled leather also.. Makes it very hard to read the stamps in the leather.

Yes it's not easy, sometimes you can read a waffenamt proof stamp which reads WaA721. All we know about the rbnr is that it's located in Bohmen, we also know that number 0008 is a lederfabrik held by some brothers named Vitousek and located in Hohenbruck. 11 is yet to be found and to this day it remains unknown.
I like to think that this type of leather was used for shoe ornaments as the Vitousek brothers were shoe makers from what I was able to read on different forums.

G43 pouches were made like this, cz27 holsters, 98k pouches and some scarcer pp holsters rumor has it.

Now the big question is, is 0011 = RME? Most likely yes! Why? Because 0008 is Vitousek and RME isn't a 3 digits code but initials of a maker. But it could also be another majer in that area, no one will ever know I'm afraid.

Anyway, there does not seem to be a lot of these pouches around... I think they are very interesting for anyone who likes 98k accessories and who enjoys late war German equipment.

I think so. I've seen that 0011 connected with RME on other items, perhaps a holster?

A couple of better pictures :

Thank you for sharing these Amberg, I really appreciate it! If anyone else want to show their examples that'd a very interesting thread!

RME45 oddly stamped on the other loop. Model 1945 construction. Center strap ink stamped 107.

All we know about the rbnr is that it's located in Bohmen
1250 is the area code for the district of Königgrätz.
Wheras I agree that 0011 most likely is RME, I do not agree that RME is not a code.
1) I did not find a leather factory with the RME initials in the Königgrätz district.
2) Some codes beginning with "R" where introduced in 1944. (rbl, rco ...) RME shows up first in 1944.
3) "EZGJ" would not be the correct German abbreviation for Erzeugungsjahr. In correct German notation it would have been "Ezgj". Incorrectly the company used only capital letters.

EZGJ explained as “Erzeugungsjahr”
Over here this is generally accepted.
an RME44 marked one I gave to
serious mistake! ;)

My thoughts only.
Thanks

Yeah, I regret that now. But years ago what did I know, I was young and dumb. Lol.

here is a good shot of the pebbled cz27 holster. The Czech connection here makes sense then. As no other holsters Ive seen have this pattern of pebbling.
There is usually a RB# on the belt loop and its typically hard to read or see.. This was mated up with an earlier type Fnh marked Cz27 bring back rig.

I don't know Amberg, I had a copy of the 3 digits code from 1944 but it doesn't extend to "r" codes but all of them were in lower case, as they should be. But what you said about the EZGJ could be an interesting hypothesis and if it were to be 100% the case then it could also explain why RME is in upper case.
