I picked up a duffle cut & sanded/cleaned Menzel 'C' marked stock for projects, turns out it's got recoil lug set back, couldn't see in the pix. Under the unmarked plate is a date that appears to be day-month-year, rather than week-day-year. It has been urethaned, sn 7587 in channel, but appears to have an 'eagle/WaA18' mark below a 'C' on the keel, a lower case 'k', & near the BP, opposing capital 'F's. (sorry haven't shrunk the other pix yet) Sept 29th happens to be my wife's birthday!
