Thoughts on that ac43 G43 currently on Gunbroker? A quick observation suggests at least the bolt carrier numbers are humped as it's the wrong type carrier for such an early rifle plus the acceptance was scrubbed when
the original numbers were scrubbed. Wrong sight hood too, but that's just incorrect as opposed to humped. Has a BLM milled housing and a mismatched stock (I assume a little later production stock based on the type of recoil lug).
Still, I expect it will still go high no matter the multiple flaws.

Thanks for the link. This seller is something else. I won two of his rifles, a few months ago.

First thing I asked was for combination shipping.

One listing was a Gew 91. Marked as all “matching”. His crappy photos didn’t show the numbers clearly. I noticed after winning the bolt was off two digits. I just didn’t catch it (my fault). I expressed my disappointment with his description. Since it said “all matching”. He said he will discount shipping. This thing was an antique of course too.

The other rifle was a Standard Modell. That one was fine.

First off, he takes about ten days to get me a total for “combined” shipping.

I pay the next day, even express the payment since it was over $3K.

No confirmation that payment was received (tracking said it was). About two weeks go by, didn’t hear anything.

Sent him a message, asked when he was going to ship the two rifles.

Replied back. Said he will get them out next week.

Box arrived (no tracking), only one rifle. The Standard Modell. Looks like his local FFL packaged it. Either way, packaging was incredibly poor. The bolt was literally just thrown to the bottom of box.

Tried to call him. Since I was missing the antique Gew 91. Number was disconnected. Sent him a message asking about the missing rifle.

Said he was away. Will get it out next week.

Said he will cover shipping for not combining them. Plus the FFL fee. I told him it’s an antique. Don’t pay the FFL to to ship it. It doesn’t have to go to a FFL on my end either. That went ignored. Also he “took the bolt apart”. Said he had to pay his gunsmith to put it back together. But, would cover that fee too. The bolt was missing the extractor.

By the time the transaction was finally done. It was four weeks. Before I got both rifles. I am a patient person. This man had over $3k of mine. With zero to little communication. He just made everything more complicated than it had too. Not shipping together. Treating an antique as a regular firearm.

Can’t recommend him.

Edit: now he’s added a lot more to his “terms”. Payment will be picked up on Fridays, only one rifle per box. Shipping the following week. None of that was posted before…
