Question on Member “Titles”

I’m curious on how the “titles” that show up under member names are figured out. For example, I see a member with 7 posts listed as “Member” - but someone with 150 as a “Junior Member”. But with my 130 posts I’m a “Well Known Member”. Is there any logic to how those titles get assigned? Or what they are supposed to mean?

It’s more a curiosity thing than anything else.

Thanks!

So the old software we used had its own naming tier for members. When we changed to Xenforo, the naming tree is different - when the change happened, older names were transferred with the old convention names being set as custom titles. The newer members use the Xenforo name tree, older members are stuck in time using the old names, and in order to update it I have to manually clear every persons title to allow the Xenforo names to propagate. When I have work to do for a member I usually take that time to clear the old name and it updates, like I will in welders name now. It’s time consuming.

@mrfarb - Thanks…that makes sense. Certainly not worth taking on for everyone. I know that even taking the time to answer a silly question eats into your day, so I appreciate it!
