nice score on that one!
Really??? Mine are both marked 10.95. It would seem to be very un economical to have to supply different ammo for converted werders , m71’s and 71-84’s
Very nice rig
Those dominion cases are balloon head and not suitable for reloading. I keep a couple boxes for dust collectors in my display case but only shoot reformed 50-90 brass in my mausers
very nice:thumbsup:
I think your bolt may be from a SCW polish WZ-29 maybe pics of the rest of the rifle would give a clue....
Thats a very nice appearing rifle I think has been overly cleaned. Its very hard to tell from the pics but the bayonet might be a model71/84 with an incorrect scabbard. A very rare blade
Not too shabby...even has a muzzle cover Ive seen way worse asking 800-1k plus not to say that's what its worth
looks good even better under 5 bills...you having the firing pin repaired?
geez very nice
thanks for the comparisons....BTW I still haven't gotten to the range with that IG71....soon I hope
As usual Loewe is spot on.....with Turk rifles most anything is possible as far as matching or not. I also have a turk 88/05 all matching but the bolt which is typical. and no crescent moon on rcvr....
Yes they pop up on greedbay and GB from time to time....I got a gew88 lid about a year ago. You just hafta be at the right place at the right time
Good question. Maybe they were too busy with other contracts to be bothered?
I wonder how much of that ended up in a hollywood props department in the 20’s
Very informative as expected. I didnt know about the post war distribution of surplus
captured demilled equipment given out as an incentive to buy bonds....I have a couple of 1916's a DWM and an Amberg both all matching with clipped pins and a fair amount of patina from languishing in...
congrats on your purchase. I think it would be safe to say that it was a war bond rifle since the firing pin is not a match. all mine came with clipped firing pins.
That guys stuff must be made of 24k gold juding from the prices. Ridiculous!
is it 7x57 or 7.65x53?
That's about what I figured...saw one on line that's missing the bolt head and retaining screw and washer. Too bad...I seem to recall seeing those rifles for sale fairly regular just a few years...
Are bolt heads unobtainium for these models? a quick on line search turned up nothing...one would think there would be junkers to part out.
many do run modern spitzer ammo in those but its not recommended. I reload with 170 grn WCF round nose and it works very well. That's old iron and trying to squeeze a 323 bullet down a 318 bore...
VERY NICE...thanks!
