This is one of 2 Nazi scopes, that i have been asked to identify with the help of the knowledgeable people here.
Note the period scratched ID inside the front lense.Retical [post with heavy side...
Its had the wood cut down to make it lighter to carry for hunting[sporterised],also looks reblued from the poor photo, also wrong stock [finger groove]
This all hurts its value.More hi Quality photos...
Brought this back up as CanadianAR is talking about N marked take down discs on these. He reports one,is this it.

Whats going on with the 2 machined grooves in the right reciever, period or recent?
Great restoration, well done,i could live with it now.
MP 43s have rails on the side of the rear sight [you do not show] and have a much deeper stock.A closer look shows the rails.
They are worth less than that,The 1940/42 has initals carved in the right fore wood. The BCD /4 has a norwegan replacement stock, with the bolt through the bolt cut out.
Well I do not like the numbers on the striker, compare these 2 pictures, both BYF 41s. 6481 [o. my matching],7579 [f. the 5K sale].Would Mauser do such a rough numbering job in early 1941
...
One of these early MG 42s just sold for $90 k in USA Value here in NZ is about $5 to 7k
Well done, that is a very tidy early BSW.I would say the extractor is a replacement. This should go in the picture sticky, there is no 1937
Well done Ham,thats a cracker.

Bruce is still looking for one of these. They must be quite rare as there are no 1938 243s in the picture stickys.Mainly stick wing eagles, fireing proof droop wing.
Are you sure its rust on the metal,to me it looks like dried linseed oil which would be easily removed with car painters thinners and brass wool. Many more clear pictures would be a great help.
Wow,that is a cracker,well done.
I have never seen a BNZ 41 with that much blue??The trigger guard has very little blue.I agree with RyanE about the missing ring on the front of the receiver. Here are some images of my G suffix BNZ...
Some 1942 BYFs have a high polish recever, there for a bright commercial type blue. Here is my one. What was the suffix of the sold one.

My matching byf 1944 d suffix High turret has the shortened safety,i am sure Dave Roberts will chip in.

Looks to be a nice combat carried BNZ.These steyr small arms loose there blue the most of all the Nazi manufacters.
I just bought my old post about shooting my Mauser 13 mm AT up on the other site[Shooting a real mauser],someone cleverer that i may be able to bring it across.
Realy great pictures, I love them ,my father was in the 8th army in North Africa [New Zealander],He often talked about the 10s of thousands Axis persons surrendering ,[Mainly Italians] if they were...
Just to bring to the top as Mark dd from the UK is talking about Anti Tank Rifles.

Swaped 8 bags of oat seed in 1972 for an excellent matching 1937/S42 Laminate,i still have it.

Wow that's a keeper, much better than my example b suffix.I have one K98k each from all 7 manufacturers from the year 1941 and the ar was the hardest to find.
