    Depot/field repaired rifle value?

Screaming good deals are still possible but it typically involves someone getting screwed over. Good example is at a Arkansas gun show a buddy of mine seen a guy walk in with a pretty nice K98K and a dealer bought it. Turns out it was a 1938 S/243 code rifle and was matching....for $700. That...

    1943 Kar98k Help

Expect a minimum of 2K for a matching example. From my experince so far looking at K98K's that are untouched 2K is a pretty good deal to not walk away from however some have sold recently that were in the 1500 range but that is not often maybe 2 times this year I've seen that price of a matching...

    ar 42 depot repair

Interesting example, don't have my V2b book with me but if I recall right there was and example in that book that has a 8 pointed star as well. Was unknown who did the work at that time and seems like it's still a unknown depot marking.

    1899 Spandau Gewehr 98m 7432 part 2

Not a problem, I like'em alot myself since there is a higher chance with the newer barrel on it, it won't be shot out. This example the bore is very nice probably a 8.5 too 9.5 so it didn't see much if anything at all during WW2.

    DUV 42 9984 r e/749 Gustloff assembled.

Both of those rifles are absolutely awesome for sure. The first one being condition but the second one condition and story! I hope you still have that second example. Gonna watch that veteran interview while the laundry is going today before work!

Weird crap you find in old guns

Bruh......NOPE!! That is a nope for me cause I seen what a fiddle back bite did to my uncle and it was scary. Thankfully he had enough fat on him to keep the toxin from getting to his stomach lining etc and causing complications.

Makes sense, I was born in 96 so I got into this hobby waaaay late.

    Depot/field repaired rifle value?

Seeing these kinds of stories of how this hobby use to be makes me wish so much I had been born 10-15 years earlier.

    DAK British Capture “duv 40”

What a cool example, I love it! Earlier this year a well used but matching 237 1940 popped up on GB and sat for 2 or 3 months till maybe 2 or 3 ish weeks ago it sold. Woulda been super neat seeing both a 237 40 and a DUV 40 side by side of each other.

MG42 Parts Kits - Centerfire Systems

Agreed! I will mention the guy with the kit has alot of experience with metal and works at a repair/build shop for a 07/02 holder so he may help me out with building it where he'll teach me how to weld etc. I could use the training/experience and the biggest thing for me is it will help me save...

    FG42 #152 - Bastogne War Museum

Woah, that would be interesting to experience. Reminds me of the Titanic museum in Silver Dollar City, Missouri where to experience how cold the water was you stuck your finger a very cold salt water bowl that was at the temperature the survivors woulda been in. I think I need to plan a trip to...

    FG42 #152 - Bastogne War Museum

Isn't that the one that has all of the GI modified items? I remember a video on YouTube showing some GI engraved items like names or towns on rifles stocks on a M1903a4. (Makes me wonder what government arsenal personnel doing rebuilds on rifles seen and just went "DANG! That's interesting" but...

MG42 Parts Kits - Centerfire Systems

When I grab it (if still available) I'll post pics. Having a ginormous semi auto will be fun :) I wish I could make it into a Post sample tho but I'm not a FFL holder and don't wanna drop 9K a year to maintain it, so semi auto only for me :( At least it will have a bnz 42 or 43 dated barrel.

MG42 Parts Kits - Centerfire Systems

Not sure if it's still available but a local guy near me has a bnz MG42 parts kit (and I have a OG MG42 barrel that's got no added on markings or refinished signs) and he wants 2k for it. That pretty decent for a bnz MG42 kit?

    1915 CG Haenel Gew 98

Agreed, I did get into a bid war for a Gewehr 98 2? Years ago that I think was a sterngewehr with a CG hanel or may have been a Kornbusch example (pulling hard from memory here because I mainly remember the disappointment with not going after the USMC rebuild 1903 I was looking at because I was...
