    Getting in 100 k98k rifles.

Thought you guys would find this neat. I've got around one hundred Portuguese contract K98k rifles (M937B technically) 1941 dated that'll be available likely mid/late next week at The Mosin Crate. Nice rifles, their all mostly matching(I know I know, that's like being sorta pregnant) with some...

Another matching K98K ruined by shippers.

Picked this BCD 43 aa block up on gbroker for a decent BIN price a couple weeks back. Looks all correct other than a sanded stock. The person who shipped it(seller used a gunstore) didn't take the bolt out and the UPS gorillas played soccer with the box, matching safety snapped off. I know it...

    SSR SS Fantasy Piece?

I'm sure it's a fantasy piece but this is not my forte at all and wanted to get opinions. I know the pictures are limited/horrible and I will try to grab more if it at all looks hopeful. This is a friends rifle that he inherited from another friend who was I'm told a fairly eccentric collector...

I've heard some whoppers before but this one..

They say buy the gun and not the story but man.. the balls on this guy to come up with something so outlandish. Especially with no way of authenticating.. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/918681771 Of course I'm being a jerk but I got a chuckle after his hyping it up in the title.

WW2 German SMK AP is OK right?

I've always stuck with Romy 8mm for my German semi autos because I know it's not overpowered and it works well. I've got some German SMK AP 8mm from 1940. Obviously it worked fine during WW2 but the concern has always been receiver cracking among other things with some surplus ammo. Has the WW2...

Avoid Pook and Pook auction company.

Won a German helmet, Webley and Lee Enfield from Pook & Pook auction house in PA.(They are on proxibid.) I knew about the 25% buyers premium and kinda expected the 4+ week packing time for their "in house shipping." I was not expecting to receive this high of a bill for shipping. $279 and...

What scope? - WWI sniper rifle.

I have an N block Gew 98 sniper rifle. Any suggestions for a correct scope/mount setup for this? Also, does anyone know of a place that can do a bent bolt service to be correct for this rifle? Would like to bring this old girl back some of her former glory.

Gew 98 Sniper Rifles during ww2?

So I just received the weirdest items.. Gew 98 Sniper rifles that look to be Russian Captures. Since the Russians lost WW1 and I doubt they started their shellac/rebluing until after WW2 it leaves me scratching my head as to the story behind these. No pictures at the moment. The importer had...

What part of the year for an AK block DOT 1944?

Just picked up an all matching untinkered with DOT 1944 in the AK block. Any idea of what time of year this one would have been produced? Only thing I've found interesting about it is an asterisk just below the waffen on the right side of the receiver. Guessing a previously rejected receive...

What are the prices you're seeing?

Seems to me on a nice matching example $2000-2600 depending on code/year and $1100+ for bolt mismatches? Can't really finger where the RC and Balkans K98Ks are at, I sold one at auction for $750 recently(don't blame me, penny no reserve start). Where are you seeing things?

    8mm Exploding Ammunition ID

Been offered some exploding ammunition for around $10 per round + shipping. This to me seems fair. However I am not familiar with this particular 8mm round and if it is indeed the "observation" exploding sniper round as it has a grin ring marking above the black on the projectile. I've googled...

Why are there so many ZF4 scopes?

Few mounts, very few rifles recognized(G/K43) as snipers/DMRs. Yet the number of original scopes out there seems to be double the number of available rifles. I understand the scope was used on other rifles/weapons but is there a reason so many of them are around when so few of the mounts remain...

    G41 ZF4 mount availability.

Of course the original dual rail ZF4 mounts are impossible to find. However there are reproductions out there. Are these still produced? If not then what should I expect to pay for one?(just the mount). To be 100% honest and forward, I purchased a rifle recently that has the mount and scope...
