    Gew98 Spandau 1918 KM /20 1935 Rework

I would say it was reworked twice. The marking behind the swivel looks like WwHr (Waffenwerkstatt Hannover), an earlier form of the acceptance of HZa Hannover. The later style Hr5 is from the second rework also done by HZa Hannover. Very cool piece!

    bnz 42 looks good?

Bolt is no good IMO. Looks engraved. Stock is also cleaned.

    Non-import 1943 Izhevsk

The bolt is not factory, it is typical Soviet post-war renumbering. Import mark was removed or simply never applied.

    BSW 37' RC Proof help.

First, the Law book is very very old and very out of date. Second, BSW used the "Simson" style fireproof for a while before discontinuing their use in early 1937. The WaA4 acceptance on the right side of the receiver are also older style dies. Nothing unusual.

Found 1935 Mauser K98 in my Garage

Correct. And as stated it is not uncommon for the 0,2 to be found under the wood line.

    German rework M91/30 Mosin Nagant

Very nice. I assume you checked the stock for stars or depot stamps?

243/1939 - Depot reworked or not

After looking a little closer, it looks like whoever did this was smart and used a depot stock for his fake. Wrist inspections looks like Mainz.

    It started again

    Its trash. An embarrassing fake.

243/1939 - Depot reworked or not

Stock is bad. They used a very common modern die set.

ID Weimar/early Nazi unit mark on frog

    I agree. I. Abteilung, Luftgau-Nachrichten-Regiment 4 (Nordhausen).

Simson Gew98 1925 shortened to K98k with SS DH

I don't know if we can say that. Both examples you included have their original proofed barrels still installed. No need to reproof them.

Is this K98k ar 43 Legit or not

Yes, the mark is 'MdI' for Ministerium des Innern, the DDR Interior Ministry, and the barrel is an East German made replacement. It is probably Crown/N marked somewhere. These reworks are either for the VoPo/BePo or the KdA (Kampfgruppen der Arbeiterklasse) militia. Some KdA men (the two in...

    Help ID holster marking

Not mine unfortunately. Belongs to MP41 who is a holster collector. Probably the most knowledgeable I am aware of.

    Help ID holster marking

$100-150 maybe in this condition? A missing/repro strap is probably a big hit. These are not super common though, so couldn't hurt getting a strap made for it, if it could be done right and it wouldn't cost a fortune. An example of this maker (a later one where the BAL2 was moved to the inside...

    Help ID holster marking

Its a Luftwaffe BAL2 acceptance. The BAL was the Luftwaffe equivalent of the WaA, and BAL2 covered the Suhl area. Your holster was probably made by "JCF", though it isn't known exactly who that is. All we have is a logo. They made leather goods including holsters and MG15 tool kits, some appear...

Some additional thoughts on Deaths Heads

I've translated it, so hopefully he won't mind the original order being posted. It is taken from the Befehlsblatt SS-TV/IKL Nr. 3 (März 1937). These were issued each month from Eicke's office (the IKL).

Some additional thoughts on Deaths Heads

Stephan98k sent me an SS document from 1937 which covers a bit more on the weapon inspections and overhaul mentioned in one of the documents above. I think the most interesting quote is "The Sturmbanne are now equipped with field serviceable weapons, so the overhauls can be looked forward to...

    Yugo M24CK Chetnik Karabin

They are extremely rare carbines made for Chetnik units of the pre-war Yugoslavian Army. Chetnik units were special operations forces intended for assaults and guerilla warfare. They were relatively small in number, organized into a handful of Chetnik battalions. The bayonets are even more rare...
