Hello,
Via this new thread I would like to get all the info I can get from you guys about my Mauser Argentino. I got it for a very long time (4 years). I'm only 18 years old but I got this gun from my uncle who had to get rid of it. Unfortunately it has four big holes in the chamber. Which brings down the value to almost zero I guess.
I spotted only three serial numbers. Two on the side next to eachother and one underneath the amunnition chamber. All the same though, U 9684.
You can also see the symbol with two hands on the side, the aim sight and the back of the firing pin.
I also noticed that one of the holes had screwed up one of the symbols. Its like a Shield with words written underneath. The second word is 'Peruana'.
The firing pin is cut off as well.
I was told that the Belgian Army bought this type of weapons and used them in WW1 but I am not sure about that.
All information is welcome and tips on how I am able to get it cleaner.
I also have a Mauser Spandau 1917 that is fully functional. I am considering to sell one of them because a student life is expensive
What is this gun worth even if its fully disfunctional? Let me know!
Thanks.
