Are you telling me you have already received that pistol that was quick Chris!

A flare gun for a machine gun crew. There's a deadly combination! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks! Here's another hebel with marking to Maschinengewehr-Kompanie 3 of Infantry Regiment 48.

Wow just wow motojosh! Your unit marked blade collection has to be incredible thank you for sharing sir!

You're very welcome. My main focus for the last 10 years or so has been regiment marked weapons.

Here's an interesting pair of shortened Imperial Navy sg98. The Erfurt sg98aA is marked to the II Seebataillon (cancelled marking to the Ersatz Seebataillon) and the Simson sg98nA is marked to the II Matrosen Division (scabbard marked to I Seebataillon) The Simson has a Naval M over 07 date on the blade spine.

Bayonet S98/05 old Pattern

ERFURT, W11

W. K. 2498.

Werft Kiel, Nr. 2498 - Navy Dockyard Kiel, no. 2498.

Navy bayonets witch matching numbers are nearly impossible to find. I dont know why exactly but they must have been mixing bayonets and scabbards arround a lot during WW1.

Very nice. Navy used 98/05 are tough to find.

Continuing with the Navy markings is this sg98nA originally issued to Werft Kiel and later to the V. Matrosen-Artillerie-Abteilung. It's part of the first Simson Naval contract and was likely produced in 1902. There's a single fraktur marking on the blade spine unlike the later Simson Naval contract examples which have a crowned Marine M over 1906 or 1907 date.
